Today is the first day that both Steve and I are headed off to work this morning. I start my full time job today, working as a receptionist in a diabetes and internal medicine clinic. I am excited, although there is a part of me that wasn't quite ready to start up another job yet.
In other news, I have been project-girl recently. I finished a huge project for Christmas a couple days ago, and now I am editing my novel like crazy. Hoping to have it ready for public consumption in a couple weeks here. We'll see, I guess. Anyway, life is crazy busy, and the massive drifts of snow outside only make it more fun.
Love to all!

Another Quiet Sunday Afternoon
We knew when we moved to Ohio that we might have a lot of quiet Sunday afternoons, since we had no family to go visit. That was okay, at the time, although Sundays got a little long and lonely. Now here we are in Idaho, with family everywhere, and we're still spending Sunday on our own at home. Kind of silly of us, right? Well, probably. But honestly? We've gotten used to the quiet spirit that fills our house on Sundays, and the lazy conversations or long walks we have the opportunity to talk. Steve and I live such quiet lives most of the time that we respect the solitude and peace we have in our home.
Not to say we don't look forward to spending many crazy days at other people's houses. But maybe we have to ease into that. Maybe we have to say goodbye to life in Ohio a little more slowly before we can let it go. Just as I've discovered I'm a lot more homesick for Ohio than I expected, I think we discovered we like our quiet lives a lot more than we thought we did, especially now that we have an alternative.
Here's to peace and quiet! Oh, and for all my friends and family with kids who are seething with jealousy, let me remind you of the cute little faces you get to greet every day and night with, and let's leave jealousy out of this one, okay?
